Set of two Chinese Tea tables

Tables like these would have been placed against a wall and pulled out to serve tea, much like occasional tables today. They were almost always made in pairs, and in western homes now make lovely flower stands or hall tables. This pair still maintain their original finish, now quite worn in some areas. The tables each have one drawer and are made from elm, with a 'waist' below the top section and carved aprons inside the legs. The price shown is for each table.

Chinese Lucky Charms for sale

This Character is pronounced "fu" in Chinese.

The character "fu" is posted by virtually all Chinese people on the doors of their homes during the Spring Festival (closely associated with the Chinese New Years).

One tradition from the Zhou Dynasty (beginning in 256 B.C.) holds that putting a fu symbol on your front door will keep the goddess of poverty away.

This character literally means good fortune, prosperity, blessed, happiness, and fulfillment.
